A Lens on Punk Rock History

When the DC punk scene roared in the 90s, Antonia Tricarico was there - camera in hand, immortalizing the sound, the sweat, and the fight against the establishment. From Fugazi to Branch Manager, and from underground basements to legendary stages, her photographs captured it all - without the gloss, without the patronizing lens, just raw honesty.

Her work gave female performers the spotlight they deserved, documenting them with authenticity at a time when media often failed them. The result? Images that pulse with rebellion, energy, and truth.

Published in Rolling Stone, collected by the National Museum of American History, and seen around the world -Tricarico’s work is more than photography. It’s a living, breathing piece of culture.
